PhishTriage warning demonstration
This page is part of the PhishTriage website. It is here so you can see how PhishTriage’s full-page warning looks.
PhishTriage is set up to show its warning on this one address. The check happens inside your browser. This page has no forms and asks for nothing.
If you saw the warning first
PhishTriage is checking the sites you open in this browser. This means Background protection is on, or Send full URLs is.
To learn what each choice on the warning does, read Turn on Background protection.
If you didn’t see a warning
Background protection is probably off. It is off until you turn it on.
Click the PhishTriage icon in the top-right corner of your browser. A small window opens.
Click Settings. More options appear.
If the Background protection switch is not blue, click it. It turns blue, and your browser may ask for permission. If it is already blue, leave it as it is.
If your browser asks, allow it.
Reload this page. The warning appears within a few seconds.
Step-by-step help, with pictures: Turn on Background protection.
Still no warning? Open Settings again and check that the Background protection switch is still blue. Then check that the address bar shows exactly phishtriage.com/dangerous-example. If you can’t find the PhishTriage icon, see Install PhishTriage.
